Quinta Essentia is imaginative and boundless musically but at the same time holds true to its own sound. The style is best described as dark with hints of death metal, progressive metal (retaining the dark that prog metal often loses), and traditional heavy metal. With a colossal sound that carries reality and imagination to a dark world, Quinta Essentia, displays this epic summoning with their live performance and recording. The debut album "Neutrality For Defined Chaos"(2006) released on Deathgasm Records broke through to begin with the sound that this band brings to the world. The latest album is titled "Archetypal Transformation". The transformation through death, dreams, and meditation is just an introduction to the depth of the concept for "Archetypal Transformation". This album title literally means the original structure of transformation referring to the constant changing of the physical world while attaining the vital equilibrium of the worlds beyond just this life. The band has been on three US tours and played many Festivals (Central Illinois Metalfest, Michigan Death Fest, Chicago Metal Devastation Fest, NY Death In the Forest Fest, Michigan Extreme Metal Fest) throughout it's 5 years of existence. They capture their audiences within a vice of musicianship, composition, lyrical concepts, and performance. The 3rd album is expected to be finished toward the end of November 2010 and is currently being written. Be sure and catch the band on the road for the 2010 Death Metal Darkness Tour with Nominon(Sweden) and Infinitum Obscure(Mexico) in June/July. Quinta Essentia is furious, deep, and experimental extreme metal with the originality, drive, and vitality that it takes to explode in the extreme metal genre.

Tour, New Material, and More!

We are about to head out in a little over a week to hit the road with Nominon(Sweden) and Infinitum Obscure(Mexico).  All the gear is ready, the vans are ready, Evan (from Deathgasm) is ready to go with us this time.  Man, its nice to have a tour manager.  Makes life easier and more focused on just the performance.  The new bassist (guitarist from the "Neutrality For Defined Chaos" album) Thom Mathews is ready to go.  We are armed and dangerous with a killer set for you all and a new song to open the set with titled "Immortal Self"  We recorded a rehearsal demo of the song last week and its turning out phenomenally.  We are extremely happy with it to say the least.  We look forward to bring you our next release towards the end of 2010 which we intend to blow you away with.

In other news the members of Quinta Essentia are busy as hell with the band but industrious minds cause for hard work.  Matt Barnes is touring South America and Europe with Monstrosity this summer along with our tour.  Lance Wright played on the new Abraxis album which was released a few months ago.  Also Thom Mathews has recorded a solo instrumental shred album which Jason Flippo played bass on a few songs for.  You can check out a review on the promo for Thom's album at shredaholic.com.
